OK, here's what you do. Fix it a corner in your hen house by blocking the corner off with hardware cloth. The kind with 1/2" squares. Put the heat lamp in there with it, along with food and water. Try to keep at least one hen in the house at all times so the chick can see her and so your hens get used to the baby.

How ols is it now? Poor thing, maybe keeping it in til is a month or so. My chick before I took her in was all by herself all day doing her chick things alone. She was doing ok. I guess if I havent brought her to the city she would have join a flock later.. There were about 5 or so roosters.
