OMG! It's only day 17, but I noticed egg #2 is wiggling about. Little guy is working on external pipping, the little early stinker.

I got confused on the eggs, it ends up I have 3 grocery store eggs left on day 12. They've been isolated from the Marans, who are now on lockdown. The stinkers.

i have 3 lavenders, had 12 but we sell chic and eggs and i had several people insist they needed them and then had 1 die. They r gorgeous.

I set 21 eggs this morn! I will candle on day 7 to look for veining and remove any clear or bloodring eggs. I am so excited!

Ugh, didn't sleep well last night. I never do during hatchings. But it was all for nothing, as no progress seems to have been made. Ack!

I dont even bother to sleep on hatchings. when its time for everybody to hatch I sit right next to the incubator with my computer right next to me. If I MUST sleep, I set a timer for every hour to wake up and check on progress

So I now have two incubators going...I just bought myself a new 1588 Hovabator Genesis...I have 50 silkies eggs on...black and splash...half due Decemebr 20 and the rest due Christmas Eve
