All my babies are dying!

400

400

It is probly hard to tell but it is swollen and feels sqishy at the bottom, much diffrent than the other chicks

The babies test results came back today, they have round worm and cociddia we are still waiting on the results for the ones showing respitory distress. Anyone know what works best for round worm and cociddia? Corid?

I hope you get her shut down!!! I recently purchased 3 pullets and drove 3 hours to get them. I know the breeder had to know they were sick when she sold them to me, so your story angers me and I'm so sorry for all your troubles and heartache! Wishing you the best of luck...(hugs)

Oh, and mash up fresh garlic and mix it in their feed. Get them used to the taste of it as small chicks. Garlic kills everything! I'm not saying you shouldn't give them meds...but add the garlic in too. If they won't eat it at first...smash a clove and add it to their water. Watch to see if they drink it.

Worms in babies!!! How AWFUL.

Corid treats Coccidiosis....

Dosage:

1.5 teaspoons (NO LESS) of 20% powder per gallon

OR

2 teaspoons of 9.6% liquid per gallon.

Make sure it's the *ONLY* water they can access during treatment, give it to them for 5-7 days, and mix fresh at least once daily.

Valbazen liquid goat wormer gets every worm a chicken can get. Wazine also works well for roundworms.

The dose for Valbazen is:

1/2cc for standard adult chickens, 1/4cc for bantams and pullets... I imagine you'd barely need a tiny drop for a chick. I have no idea what the "official" dose would be for that.

Repeat dosage in 5 days. Give orally undiluted.

I do not know the dose for Wazine, but I *think* there might be a way to put it in their water.

Both Valbazen and Corid can usually be found at your local feed store or you can order it online.

I hope that helps!!
