I'm so sorry you lost Mak. It's never easy. I'd blame the weather too. Our big wet is when I lost so many birds.

Thank you... yea, I have decided to leave them cooped up for awhile as the coop/run stays dry and the yard is literally flooded! It hasn’t stopped raining for days!

She was 2... they... Goosie, Lilly, and Mak were my second group of gals.. I think that it’s sort of strange that Lilly and Mak are my first two hens to die... ya know, being from the same group and all... so it’s just Goosie now... of course she still has the rest of the flock... but no longer has her “sisters”

A year ago I had 4 of my first LH's of 6 left. One got killed by a hawk. Anyway, I thought it was odd that July 3rd 2020 I had 4 and shortly, Supperfloppy just started acting weird, and July 5th she died in the night.(pg 46) then one had a crop issue I couldnt get her through, another 1 got sick. then is Sept. I have only one left, she is 3 now but when the other hens died she really mourned. She was off for 3 weeks, a flat comb, didnt want to eat much, I did all I could, she finally righted herself and is fine.

They had me sit for about 15 minutes afterward.
Fine, a little arm pain (like aching, just below the shoulder), but it is pretty sore where they stuck the needle.
No fever, I didn't feel like I had one. And I don't feel really drained either.

Aaww, that’s sad... was she all alone... or did she have other flock members?
I’ll have to watch Goosie and see how she is doing...
