This was the bigger brown egg I showed yesterday! The other strange thing is these bigger eggs aren’t really all that big… they are just bigger than the small eggs they are all laying…. They are definitely smaller than my blue and white eggs I get from my older gals!

I've had double yolks and the odd spray pattern from new layers. Usually sorts itself out with in 2 months. Those last year were from eggs hatched in the incubator, mix from my flock and my in-laws flock. Mixed of breeds and some mixed breed birds, from several generations of mixed breeding with the occasional influx of new blood. Is sort of like teen getting her period....and having it skip a month or 2 or go every couple of weeks (or both) to start with. Eventually it settles down.

What is the deal with chickens!?! I’m watching to see if it’s just some pecking order stuff or if she is a nut!!
