Thank you Grammy - it is Saturday. I feel very grounded knowing that. Like your Bob I am dying to try crawfish - I think there are some companies that ship it cooked from Louisiana - I am going to investigat!

How long did you let her set previously? Did she go on and off the "nest" as she should?

She’s never set eggs before.. she’s been broody plenty but without eggs! I candled the eggs and I don’t think any of them are viable. I may give it a couple more days just to be sure but I think it’s a long shot... I’ve been googling development of eggs and they are not looking like the ones I’ve seen ... it’s for the best though... it would have been fun but I’m content with purchasing my pullets!

If they are not viable will you let her go the full 21 days? It might make sense in case you ever do want her to really set. She needs to learn what she needs to do.
