My DD#2 raised, and released about 100 Monarch butterflies, and a few Black Swallow tails.
She constructed a special cabinet, and provided Milkweed for the caterpillars to eat. Then released as they hatched out of their cocoons.
The reality,,, in nature,, many of those caterpillars would have ended up in the stomachs of birds.
Yes, I do know birdies do need to eat as well.:frow
There has been some info regarding a decline in Monarch butterflies. Changing climate, and pesticides are likely a factor in most nature changes.

Oh wow! I just love that! That is awesome… good for her🙌🏻👏🏻❤️❤️❤️❤️
And so beautiful!

So something is going on with my little Silkie rooster, Snickers. Earlier I noticed that he was kind of jumpy and a little off balance… well this evening at roost time he was kind of bobbing his head around and going in circles and it looked like he was panicking a little…. and then he would try to jump to a roost and would fall off…. I went back out to check on him after it got dark and he was on the ground… so I took him out and put him in a separate pen for the night just in case he was worse in the morning and didn’t want him to get bullied. Maybe the beginning of wry neck… I will see how he is in the morning…

I hope he's better tomorrow. 🙁
