Glad you saw what Tina was doing and were able to take care of it. They definitely keep us on our toes...lol.I never understood when people say “chickens are dumb” until now that I own these Polish! I think they do not have anything under all the fluff! Fluff for brains! Dolly and Fran have finally seemed to figure out where to go roost! I’ve been putting them up every nightand they are 15 weeks old! Ridiculous! Anyway, Farrah and Tina don’t know what to do! The other night I waited to see what they would do and found Farrah tucked between some bricks on the ground and Tina tunneled herself into two cinder blocks that were side by side but the end was blocked off… so if she had done this on a weekend where I would leave for three days she would have died in there!
There was no way she could back out so she would’ve been stuck in there! Horrifying!!!!!
Needless to say, I got rid of that suicide option
Ugh! These birds!
Yes! I am so glad I went back out to check!Glad you saw what Tina was doing and were able to take care of it. They definitely keep us on our toes...lol.
Maybe you should post this on the medical advice forum. A video might be helpful if you can get one. I wonder if he has something neurological going on. Does he do it a lot or just once in awhile? And remember when I told yall about Willis fka:Snickers? And how I thought he was sick… well, he seems healthy enough but does do a very strange thing! He tucks his head under and wiggles it back and forth really fast and sometimes does it so much that he literally does a tumble set
If I pick him up he does it and when I put him on the roost he does it… but also does it out in the yard! Has anyone seen anything like that?? It is really weird… I am going to trim more feathers from around his eyes but he can actually see pretty well… I mean, I can see his eyeballs…
