Had a hawk attack a week or so ago… scared it off in time to save my tiny Blue!! She had one puncture wound but other than that she is fine! Thank God! I adore her

Wishing you a festive Mardi Gras. I was kind of busy most of the day Tuesday. Hope you enjoy the Parade on Feb 28.
Us Yankees celebrate Fat Tuesday here. One of the main things in our celebration are paczki. Pronounced like ponchkis.
Was late in getting to my local bakery,, and left empty handed.
A few years ago, I did order some ahead of time. Went in, and my box was there with my name on it.
I casually asked them, how many Paczki did they make for that day?? I think the person responded with,,, over 17,000 that week.
I know that many work-places would serve them to their workers as a treat on that day.

I might make some for this coming weekend, if family does get together. I follow Jenny Jones recipe. I oven bake rather than Oil Bake.

This is my most favorite king cake! It’s fried like a donut! It should be illegal!!

I think it is working well… it is reflective tape.. got from Amazon. Eventually I want to do a better job of it…
