ALL MY CHICKENS GOT KILLED! NOW I DON'T HAVE CHICKENS =[

If you saw lots of blood, the culprit was probably not people. People quietly steal chickens and sneak away to start their own free flock or to eat them if they are really hard up, they do NOT want anyone to notice them and call the police or come after them with guns, sticks or dogs. If you saw lots of blood, there probably was lots of commotion which probably means predator- dog(s), or something else 4 legged. If you live in suburbia, raccoons can make quite a mess. If you are more country- there are lots of animals that like chicken.
In any event, if you want to keep chickens again- you need to make your coop safe from predators. If you really think a person did it, that will be heck of a lot harder to prevent, as people are even smarter than raccoons....

Johnny, I am so sorry for you. I wonder if it could have been a dog or some other preditor since you saw so much blood. Either way, I am sorry.

We installed a wireless security alarm for $30 last week and it's already gone off once. You could leave it armed anytime you're not home and no one needs to go near the coop. Here's the photo...got if off Amazon.

I'm so sorry you were victimized. Look upon this as a chance to build an unbelievably secure coop. I think as times grows harder we may hear more of this sort of thing...for years we used a baby monitor to listen to our barn at night. Very comforting.

I don't understand how someone could steal another person's pets. Definately get a lock on there when you get more. I keep locks on mine just to keep my son from accidentally letting them out.
