Do you have an incubator? I can send you some NH eggs when it warms up enough to ship them.
Or if you don't mind having mutts I can send them as well.

When you guys mention send you mutts..what kinds of chickens are considered mutts..not first time heard mentioned so am curious..like mix breeds..I have RIR purebreed but I had bought some Few RIR from someone different and I swear they are half RIRand RIW as to much white on them so is that a mutt..I want to keep them separate from the purebreeds when comes to egg laying time and breeding as I want purebreed.

So really sorry about your chickens and starting over..I would sure be more than happy to help you out...hoping my neighbors don't come stealing here..got a couple of young teenager boys that like to cause trouble so may have to do the alarm thing too.

probably Red-sexlinks, which are rhode island red crossed with.. white plymouth rocks i think... they've also been crossed into Rhode island reds a few times and sold as pure ones.. which is why certain Rhode island reds are lighter then others. Same with Production reds, which has had about 3-4 other breeds added in by feathersite..

Sorry to hear that you lost your little flock. If you were closer I could get you some buffs.

People will take anything they see as free meat. Especially if they're not from here. We had a client at the vet hospital who raised Barbados sheep and goats. They all dissappeared from their pasture while he was out of town. Came back to a pile of cooked bones in the corner of his pasture. The trailer park next door was full of recent Haitian immigrants. DH had a flock of chickens disappear from his yard. He found feathers and heads and cooked bones in the corner of the yard next door. It was a apartment building used by migrant workers. I suspect this will become more and more common as times get tighter.

Did your sister actually see the people? I'm not trying to be a "wise guy", just wondering. It sounds like a dog or 4 legged critter got your flock. Some 4 legged got one of mine. It dug under the fence. I think either a dog, coyote or fox got mine. There were feathers all over the place. There were also dog like prints.
