All my crazy projet ideas!

I treated a star gazer a couple years ago. It's just a vitamin deficiency.
I believe I mixed minced garlic, raw honey, and apple cider vinegar.
That healed up the chick in 2 days I believe?

There's homeopathic/natural ways to treat it, that actually work really well.
I'm doing nutri-drench, a stabilizing chair(made from an egg carton, paper towel and vet wrap) and yoke-water mixture. My last ones I had like this where from my Halloween hatch. Two of the Sebrights had issues like this.

Very good, it sounds like you have it all taken care of.
Is the chick showing any improvement?

Its more vigorous but still can't keep its head up. I have a second one now as well and possibly a third sigh. Thought I accidentally singed the second ones death warrant when giving it the nutri-drench. It was acting like it had inhaled some, but it seams to be ok now. I'll keep up treatment as it took three days for the two from Halloween hatch to get better.

Ah pictures of the issue. And solution, I hope.

Is that snowy white one a silver based color?

Some of my littles right now have that bright white and some yellow, so I'm assuming silver and gold.

I feel ya on the nutrient issues. So far, I've mostly only had the issue in summer when it gets hot. I think the warehousing / shipping / storage of feed in the heat results in some pallets getting cooked, then some of the eggs don't get everything they need. So I took to sporadically supplementing the hens with feed mash with vitamins mixed in. Only a couple times a week as I didn't want to be hard on their kidneys if they were getting excess. So far, so good.

Could be either as they are Goldens.

Well my guys get yard time every other day now. Sometimes they get a left over rotisserie carcus to pick through maybe once every two weeks. Thinking of adding kicking chicken to some feed that they'll get maybe twice a week or so.

🚨 I have exciting news! 🚨

Me, and my dad drew up some plans for a double stack, 8 pen set up for my old English breeding. :)
Later on, I will also be adding a 2nd layer on top of my current triplex coop, where I keep all my breeders now.
It will be 4 feet tall, 36 inches deep, and 8 feet long.
Each individual pen will be 2 feet tall, 2 feet wide, and 36 inches deep.
It should be big enough to put a trio, maybe even a quad in each pen.

What I'm planning in my head is, keep all my cross colors in the triplex, then once I get a second, identical pen built on top of it, I will put all my grow-outs in the top section, and use this new coop for all my quality breeders.
hope you show that coop
How are those old English chicks doing Snatcher?
They're doing good! I did lose my tiny silver duckwing chick. Ill get pics to share of my chicks.
I love those silkied ones!
I really hate to say this, but yesterday got so hot it killed my brand new, white OEGB pair. The high got to 100 F, last week it was in the 60's - 70's.
It's so terrible, I feel so bad; like I could've done better for them....

I did get three eggs off of them, so I'm praying I can get at least one of those to hatch.

R.I.P, White's. You two were beautiful.
(I'll share pics later)
Ooohhh NOoooo! Sorry about that

Here they are @Yard Farmer

My feed store babies

BB Red. Not sure who I’ll breed her to. I don’t really want to mess with recessive gene and I don’t know if BBRed had any. I’ve got a Fawn boy and a Khaki boy if y’all think one of them will be a good choice

White. Breeding this girl to the Khaki boy above to get recessive white chicks (if she’s recessive white)

Not sure why this guy is getting silver leakage. I’m guessing from his dad being a fawn.

Recessive lavender and mottled. I am so excited about these guys! I have some OEGB mixed hens that look just like the little hen. I’m turning these guys into a project to get them to breed true
