I am very sorry to hear of this horrible event, poor little things. I absolutly hate predators, they're horrible and sneaky.

I too just lost mine overnight. I forgot to put them back in their pen last night. When I went out to feed of course the gate was open and they were no where to be found! I found one body on the neighorbors property only the head was missing.
It must have been a coon. The other was gone!

I am so upset with myself! I can't believe I forgot to put them up!

I acn't imagine how you are feeling - that is such an awful situation to face.... please don't blame yourself! We have all made mistakes in the past and I have been very lucky that although I forgot to lock the occasional door, all of mine were safe thank goodness.

This one got 4 of my ducks before we killed it. I now keep live traps baited continuously and we catch a new one about every 3 to 4 months. Good luck.

So sorry to hear about your losses. Good thing that you caught the little devil. What do you bait your traps with? What kinda trap do you have?

Stupid question............Is a mink the same kind of mink that people make mink coats with? Just curious.

We just had a mink get our Showgirl roo last week I had never seen one around us before but went out at 2am the other morning to see what my wonderful Aussie was having a fit about and helped him get it by turning a crate up he was hiding under. Angus got some good treats for that kill!!!

Anyway Government has no right to decide which species are "protected" which are not.

Most of Gov bearurocrats making decisions and creating rules, sitting in comfortible chairs and feeding on taxpayers money never seen or have any knowledge of predators or any ecosystem they INVADE themselfs.

We had a problem with minks and muskrats. Setting traps and securing fencing is the best you can do. im so sorry. good luck trappin' em.
