I think they need to develop personalities before they can be named... or have something signifiicant about them or happen ti them that sparks the name.... like Feisty, because he is. Or Gash, because he got attacked by a cat that ripped a hoke out of his neck.. or Mama Silkie, because she hatched all the eggs, etc.

Well, I have a rooster named Sir Winston. I'm not sure if you have any roosters or not.

I used to have 4 silkies. Their names were: Mr. Puffy Pants (buff roo), Mallow (like marshmallow- she was white), Fuzzy Wuzzy (she was black), and Dust Bunny (she was grey).
