I have several things to list for sale and thought I would start here before posting on craigslist:

Quad of cuckoo Marans. Rooster and hen are eight months old, two pullets are four months old. $40

Two clutches of setting eggs: 16 araucana eggs due to hatch this weekend and 8 lavender-split ameraucana eggs due to hatch next weekend. 12 of the araucana eggs are under a broodie in a portable coop. The other 4 araucana eggs and ameraucana eggs are in the incubator. Asking $60 for all together (16 araucana eggs as hatched, 8 ameraucana eggs as hatched, broodie hen... a cuckoo Marans, and coop). Would ask to pick up after hatching because I'm afraid moving at this point would ruin hatch.

Pair of araucana 4 months old. Cockeral is splash rumpless and double tufted. Pullet is blue rumpless and clean headed. $40

Blue copper Marans cockeral with a blue copper pullet feathered shanks Bev Davis lines... nice! four months old $40

Black copper Marans cockeral and pullet. Feather shanked Bev Davis lines.... four months old $40

Three EE hens. One is a year old lays a light blue egg and appears double laced/ partiridge (white, black), one is a year old lays a greenish egg and appears silver/ wild, one is six months old lays a greenish egg and appears brown-red/ wild. $30

Brower tophatch incubator, bought 2 years ago, used 3-4 times. New was over $150 asking $50 (available after next weekend's hatch).

I had planned to expand my backyard chickens but circumstances have changed. These are nice, healthy birds from nice lines and I think I have offered them pretty reasonably here. email me to [email protected] please for any inquiries. Due to unforseeable events, I am no longer able to keep my poultry. I have to move away from the country for awhile, and the city is not poultry-friendly. My entire flock of chickens, ducks, geese, and guineas is for sale.

I have a huge list of breeds and do not wish to take up a huge portion of posting space. These are not extraordinary birds, all are from hatchery stock with a couple exceptions which I will list here.


3 EE X faverolle chicks, 4 weeks old. GORGEOUS, and came from BLUE very very very blue ee eggs with a faverolle roo.

6 cayuga ducklings...5-6 weeks, just getting to their first moult so they are at the ugly awkward stage. At least three are females (heard em quacking) from hatching eggs of holderreads stock.

A pair of buff goslings 3 weeks old, sexed and hatched by a reputable breeder, sold as a mated pair. I do not beleive they are imprinted, they are more standoffish than the geese I hatched out and imprinted.

four button quail, each one is a different color, nearing to laying age.

Not sure if any of you are going to the 2009 Chickenstock on memorial day weekend, but I will be there and have some birds that I can bring if anyone is interested in buying or trading.

I have a bunch of 1 yr old layers and a few misc fowl that I would be willing to part with. Here is what I have and can bring if anyone is interested:

3 Light Brown Leghorn Hens (excellent layers and pretty)
2 White Leghorn Hens (about 1 year old)
2 Buff Orp Hens (about 1 year old)
1 Gold-laced Wyandotte Hens (about 1 year old)
1 Silver-laced Wyandotte Hen (about 1 year old)
1 Silver-laced Wyandotte Roo (huge but well behaved)
2 Khaki Campbell Drakes (a few months old)
1 Birchen OEGB Roo (he's going to be gorgeous when he gets his full adult plumage, right now he is about 8-10 wks old)
1 Blue OEGB Roo (same age as the Birchen)
1 Splash Modern Game Bantam Roo (about a year old)
1 Buff-laced Polish Hen (about 1 year old)

All are young, healthy, and laying regularly (except the boys, of course.) tongue

Stuff I would be interested in trading for:

Dark egg layers (marans or wellsummers), blue egg layers (Araucanas), Sebastapol Geese, Pilgrim Geese, Guinea Keets, Turkeys (Bourbon reds, Naragansett, Royal Palm), Peafowl, and any chicken or dairy goat supplies (feeders, milking supplies, cheesemaking stuff, etc...)

I live in the central texas area between Austin and Bastrop and could meet up with anyone in this area that is interested in any of the above but is not planning on attending Chickenstock. Just shoot me a PM to make arrangements.

Pick up only (zip is 75783) Can possibly meet up somewhere (possible trip to Dallas coming up or Tyler..)

I also just put some eggs in 'bator so will have more in about 3 weeks..
