All the Christian Homeschoolers!

im taking 3 tests today to get certified in lifeguarding!
Pray I have success cuz I'm really hoping that I didn't just do 2 weeks of training for nothing.
:wee
Good luck! I hope everything goes well for you!!
Thank you!

Last night was pretty fun
we were doing scenarios
i was "guarding" with another person in our class and it was a spinal injury in the shallow end and even though Evan was guarding at the far end of the pool and i was roving like RIGHT where it happened, Evan saw it first but i couldn't see where he was pointing cuz there was flags in the way but when i saw where it was i slid in and Evan grabbed the backboard and i put the victim in a head splint and Evan pushed the backboard under and then.....the backboard started falling apart...
so then we're trying to get someone with a "spinal injury" out of the pool with a broken backboard and we're timed and the victim is like a very tall guy and he's like slipping off....
it was crazy
we did it though.
Wow! If you pass the test will you be a professional?

I'll be certified for poolside, CPR/AED/First Aid, and HOPEFULLY waterfront but not for amusement parks but if i wanted to do amusement parks too i'd just have to take another test and then cuz I'm new at it, I'm not allowed to guard a pool by myself i have to "shadow" someone a couple of times first. but yeah kinda, I'll be legal.

That really doesn't seem that hard to be able to do those things!

Cool! I don't even know how to swim 😅. I believe I'm CPR certified, but I had to take the test two times on a dummy and I never got the results.

if you know how to swim well then its not hard at all. during the first week, we were doing 22 laps as like...warm up before we did anything

the most challenging part is prolly knowing that if i don't pay attention, 2 min without air is when brain damage starts setting in and if i don't see it and attempt a rescue, that's my fault

Oh wow, that's a lot of laps!

Oof, that is scary knowing.
