Hubby and I are on the road headed for Ohio. Long couple days ahead of us. Dog's in the back and I'm pretty sure he's still alive (he is a relatively quiet traveller, thankfully).

Gross dog parasite warning, lol.

Whooo, family's dog has tapeworms. Greeeeeeeeat. Guess our doggo can have a good deworm once we're back then regularly afterwards. I might do one, too. She sits on the furniture we like to chill on and apparently my entire family didn't notice bright white worms coming out of her behind? Those segments are full of eggs and you can become infected just by sitting on the same couch. Lovely. She eats rabbits all the time, and I can't believe they've never dewormed her?!

Absolutely! She has a vet appointment today anyways. I might go look for something to give to our puppy because they were together and they were playing and sniffing when I noticed it. My little sister said "yeah, she has had mucous coming out" and I was like "wut??". She hadn't told anyone for some reason. Took a closer look and there were tape worm segments all over. Our dog almost definitely ingested some.

Hopefully your dog doesn’t have them… I would deworm your dog anyways.

Talked to our vet and it should be fine because the worms need a host and can't just go from dog to dog. I think we probably will deworm him regardless. He crunched a rabbit skull and kept finding dead birds from the cat.

Well that’s good! I would definitely deworm anyways.

Ugh, he eats absolutely everything! He ate a sock the first day here. I didn't find out that he ate a SECOND sock until I saw yet another sock in his poo.
