We have lots of Friesians around here, and it gets quite warm in the summer. They seem to do all right…we drove past a few foals with their moms a couple days ago So cute.

There used to a Friesian breeder quite near here.
It can easily get to the high 30s (C), so I think they must be quite hardy really in the heat.
Probably they do adapt a bit though, so the ones here might be more heat tolerant then those where they originated from.

Yes, it gets that hot quite often here as well. This guy

seems to have no problem whatsoever. He's our neighbor's horse, and gorgeous as heck. I've never ridden a full Friesian, but I used to ride a Friesian/Saddlebred cross, Echo, and she was stunning as well.

Well according to BuzzFeed, I'm not very country.
But listen, my personal heaven is the back of the horse.
And I have a sense of when to wear cowboy boots. Those boots DON'T go with dresses. They go with bootcuts and sometimes shorts, NEVER skinny jeans.

I guess Friesian are a lot more hardy than I thought they were! Though I do still understand them to have thicker coats, so they probably get hotter than other breeds when they are working under saddle.

I wear cowboy boots to church sometimes, with a dress. But they’re also nicer, cause I keep them clean.

Mine don't either, even though I'm an adult. Correction, they wouldn't ban me or ground me or anything, but they eould guilt the hecc out of me. I'm technically still a kid. I can't even go out in a tank top, and no bikinis!
