All the Christian Homeschoolers!

We use the Abeka curriculum. Apparently alot of people think it's super hard, but I don't think it's anything too treacherous Lol Everything in it is God centered.

I've been using that for my Spanish curriculum this past school year! It's not super hard at all, maybe a little tedious, but not hard.

I think I mentioned that my pastor is leaving. His last Sunday as the high school pastor was on the 11th.

On the 18th, we had a “guest speaker” (they’re having a bunch of different people fill in while we find a new pastor for high school ministries)

Anyway, the new guy was nice, although pretty old. But…

Him: “ok, so this is an easy question. What type of fruit grows on an orange tree?”
High schooler: “um, oranges.”
Him: “yes! So what type of fruit grows on an apple tree?”
Another high schooler: “apples.”
Him: “yes!”
Him: “ok. Here’s the hard question: what are the first three fruits of the spirit? Does anyone know?”
Me, incredulously: “Love, Joy, and Peace”
Him: “wow! Great job!”

He also asked if anyone knew what a bit and a bridle are.

And then he asked “what is the big theological term for being made right with God? It’s justification”

Ok… I guess the guest speaker was trying his best, but… we’re not that dumb.
