Hello! Happy Labor Day.

The countdown has officially begun. My Stranger was here this weekend and has now headed back home. The next time I see him will be in exactly two months, a week before our wedding!!

How is everyone doing? Anything going on for Labor Day? We have an awesome festival in town with all sorts of fun stuff that goes on.

I've been okay. Just got over a really strange sickness. Nah, nothing for me. Going to be swapping the motor in my (soon to be) 03 GMC Yukon XL. Hoping everything goes smooth with that.

Oh, neat! My Stranger has a Yukon, that's what he came out in this summer. I had to drive it once and I did NOT enjoy it very much. Too big for me. The steering wheel also had a lot of loose wiggle before it actually turned anything.

Speaking of furniture assembly... I just went to Ikea for the first time ever on Sunday. Stranger and I were picking out a mattress (there was only one in the entire store that was anywhere near what I liked for softness, and that one was just perfect!). I had a lot of fun!! He went there with my dad a month or two ago (my Dad hadn't been, either), and says he'll never forget his reaction.

So exciting! I bet you can’t wait.

I’m all right, currently battling a cold which has been hanging around nearly a week now. We never really did anything for Labor Day, we’d get the day off school cause my dad didn’t go to work, but that’s about it.

My Mom says it'll be a really short, long two months. These three weeks between Stranger leaving and coming back for his last visit felt so slow, but now it's like they were gone in a flash!

Stranger brought a cold when he came. Thought it was an allergy attack until I came down sick last night. Bleck. It's hitting pretty hard, I hope it's gone soon.
I was glad I was able to take care of him though, he was very miserable and up all one night sneezing.
He had said once that he thought I wasn't going to be helpful in caring for sick family because I am paranoid about it here. So now he knows!
In this house I can escape a whole wave of illness, but once I'm a wife and mom I know I can't escape it, haha.

No labor day here, so I'm just doing the usual

That's so exciting!!! Now comes all the prep work before the big day, right? The long part.

Stranger is doing everything for the ceremony and reception, and all we have now is to discuss things with his priest. So I've been able to lick my legs up, sit back, and relax! My Bridal shower is coming together, and until next year we won't have to worry about planning the Ohio reception.

WOW! That's so exciting! I'll pray for you!

We went and got ice cream! It also poured rain so some of the roads were flooded. I'm doing okay. I think getting a little sick.

We didn't do a lot of Labor Day related stuff, but I did go to our festival a couple of times. I got a couple trinkets, and got to watch some agility performance dogs! That was super neat.

Otherwise I was busy. Fiancé dragged me to the AMA (American Motorcycle Association) Hall of Fame, that was decently fun. We also stopped by an indoor conservatory that I went to years ago, and it was lovely. Saw Ikea for the first time! It was fun.

I did! It was just breakfast time, so I didn't get to see the regular menu. I can't have gluten and I heard they've got options. I enjoyed it anyways! The Greek salad they had was really good. Also had bacon, eggs, and taters.

I actually found them to be a bit too sweet, and not salty enough. The bacon though! Perfect . Just the right amount of crunch.

So sad I don't think I can eat their meatballs! Most meatballs have flour to help stick them together.
