Sorry to hear that. Good to hear the broodie's are hatching though. I would definitely get it up over 60% at least.Sad to say the 4I had 3were rotten so early loss or never fertile and the last was a DIS(dead in shell) so sad but our her gave up on her 12 eggs and we put them in the incubator 4 days ago one hatched and one has internally pipped can see movement in at least 8 of the others holding temp at 100.5 with humidity at about 50 adding some damp paper towels in a bit I don't think 50 is high enough
I just did lockdown. All 13 eggs still look good. They are very dark and I could see a couple moving. The air cells look okay. Every egg lost 13 to 14% of their original weight. The numbers are still frustrating as the one hygrometer reads 64% and the other reads 80%, but they were 11% points and 5% points low respectively when I did the salt test with them before I started the incubation. I don't see any condensation. Thanks to everyone for their advice and Candaceb I hope your hatch continues to go well. That poor hen just got overwhelmed with collapsing nesting boxes!
Here's a shot of the incubator now.![]()
