A&Ms are coturnix (Think of them as Jumbo whites) and depending on the way you keep them they will lay an egg a day except during winter when the days become short. Typically you can expect around 300 eggs a year from coturnix. If you put them under lights during the winter time you can get even more.

I have seen these in a brown color, are they just a different line of the A&M's then?

Coturnix are egg laying machines. Mine sometimes lay 2 a day.

The brown ones are pharaoh coturnix. Not sure what the difference is though. I have both the whites and the browns.

Has anyone had eggs pip early? I put my tuxedo eggs in lockdown yesterday, day 14, and already have one making a crack. Im really surprised, I wasn't expecting them to start pipping until Saturday!

Just want to add...my temps during incubating were between 99.5 and 101 in my still air. So I don't think the temp was too high

Mine started hatching 1 day early but that's probably normal. Not sure about 3 days though.
