I cook most of my own food if it's Western style.

My wife has businesses to run and I'm retired so I have more time. She prefers local Thai food which I do not cook so she takes care of herself for that. In any case, we eat at home at different times. I can't function before breakfast but most Thais have theirs between 9.00 and 11.00 and it's a spicy rice dish.

The old fashioned demarcation of domestic chores by gender is as inappropriate these days as gender discrimination at work. I'm quite happy to let my wife get up at 6.00am to clear weds or dig the garden.

My DH and I both work 12 hour shifts...me days, him nights, so whoever is off usually cooks and tends to critters. If we are both working we don't see each other as we work in different towns...I'm gone when he gets home, he's gone when I get home. I tend to dog and chickens when he works and when I am off. He has become more adventurous in the cooking department as he has gotten older and has really cooked some great meals...but sometimes...

He's always been great at housework and helping with the kids!

I'm tattling on my hubby:

He lets DD paint his nails...when he loses a bet with her.
He plays tea party and even pretends to drink the tea. But he wont lift his pinky when he drinks. lol
He lets her 'do' his hair and he doesnt have that much to 'do'
He likes mani-pedi's and actually asks for them....he's lucky I love him.

This one isnt voluntary but its funny...

Once when he fell asleep too early, I put press on nail decorations (lil sparkly flowers) on his toe nails and he didnt notice til the next day after work.

Well I spend a lot of time on a forum for people that keep pet chickens.......

I own several $$$$ in chick flicks an Disney cartoons even though I'm single an have no kids.....

I have pugs.....
