Almost 5 year old hen found non-responsive after cold and wet weather - trying to nurse her back

Title pretty much says it all but she feels emaciated and her crop was empty. Her one eye was open when I picked her up out of the coop about 2 hours ago. So far I have given her a few very small cut up pieces of grapes to see if the sugar would help her come to. She is still breathing but eyes closed and while she is putting up a little more of a fight now vs. 2 hours ago she is still motionless most of the time.

When I say putting up a little more of a fight I mean when I lift her head up and try to open her mouth she tries to move her head away.

She did swallow the grape pieces and then a very small amount of scrambled egg with some half and half for some protein. She isn’t moving by herself or standing up at all. Most recently I tried to put a small drop of Karo syrup on her tongue (we do that to puppies that are struggling) but no real change.

I really hopes she pulls through but no idea where to go or what to do from here. Other 7 in the flock seem fine. Seems inside in a crate now. No obvious outer signs of pecked on or disease.

Check her for lice and mites, when you give food or water it should be in small increments and not every hour.

Might help to give her a raw egg yolk if she's not able to process solid food.

No lice or mites that I can see. Thanks for the raw yolk - I’ll try that before bed. So should I wait another few hours? She just seems to be resting and has her eyes closed. I tucked her legs under her and was wondering if that was the right thing?

Has she ever been dewormed?

Has she been laying recently? I would let her rest and then try again in the morning to see if she will drink more and eat. At her age, it is hard to know what is wrong. What do her droppings look like? Cancer and reproductive disorders are common. Have you added any new birds in the last few months? Have you wormed her recently?

Not in the last few years for sure. Anything else? Can I force a dewormer down her throat? I put out a small bowl of food and dried oregano out in there for her in case she is hungry later and will add a very shallow bowl of water too. We’ll let her rest tonight! Thanks!! We’re of course heading out of town tomorrow so don’t know whether to leave her crated inside or put her back with the flock. Is she okay in the crate like this for a few days? With fresh food and water daily of course.

The whole flock has really slowed down laying so I haven’t been keeping track like I normally do but don’t think she’s been laying. I know my americuana has payed one egg in the last year so I just kind of let them all do their thing. Droppings overall look fine but we’ve been so wet and mucky the last 3 days it’s hard to tell
