Gwad!!!! All my hens do all day is lay and poo and eat ,don't have the liberty to just sit on them... Should i leave the eggs and let them stay or are my dreams of fluffy butts roaming the yard behind mama done for. they are loved to death and have oyster shell and scrach given as a treat daily. They have a roo and everything they could want...HELP!!! By the way there are 3 RIRs 2 Barred rocks and 2 amarcaunas (misspelled but you know you know what i mean...)
I'd consider my self lucky to not have hens going broody. Seems like I always have one or two squawking at me. Leaving eggs in the nest won't trigger broodiness it's an instinctual things that just happens. More with some breeds and rarely with others.
