Some hatcheries only sell chicks during certain rimes of the year. Here is a breed selector tool. My suggestion is after doing some research get the breeds that you are most attracted too. Some are better layers, some friendlier, some like to be broody. There are a lot of things. You will find a lot of good information here Good luck and have fun...
