Congrats on the hatchlings! can't wait to see pics of the little fluffs!7 hatchlings! And I think a wayward rooster's genetics may have been involved because the seventh chick is not endowed with the chipmunk pattern the others have; he's black and yellow. I had two quitters still in the incubator I was just too hesitant to remove (A4,B1). I cracked open A4 and B1 and did an eggtopsy, A4 looked like it died at about day 10-ish development-wise and B1 probably died day 15-ish. Both I am confident would never have become a chick and were quite dead. Neither of the last two eggs in the incubator have pipped, still holding hope they're late bloomers.
Ask and you shall receive!Congrats on the hatchlings! can't wait to see pics of the little fluffs!

The one labeled A2 miraculously managed to hatch from THIS spiderwebbed egg:

It was badly cracked the entire incubation. That little chick is a fighter. It's a little weaker and smaller than the others, but seems to be doing quite well.
I like Rambo! If he's a boy maybe that will end up being his name! I think whether he's a he or a she (unless he's a giant bully), that particular chicken will have a place in my flock. They're beautiful babies!
And very impressive A2, maybe you should be called Rambo, keep up the good fight!
