aloha from the 50th state and the island of Oahu, Hawaii! i'm very new to this site and the wonderful world of raising chickens.

i would never have thought in my lifetime that i would be the proud mom of a chicken...yet alone 4 of them! 1 RIR, 1 SLW, and 2 Browns (RIR/Leghorn).

and to think it all started at church when our priest told our sons that if they could catch the chickens in the yard then they could bring it home! yep...my kids listened and certainly caught one.

this is the beginning of my new life with chickens.
