Hi I just joined as I am thinking about getting another chicken(s) and I would like to learn to do it right this time. She, Snowflake, was a beautiful chicken and more like a pet for us, she and the dog got along nicely and kept each other company. We didn't know a lot about chickens but she had a happy life here for 9 years and gave us eggs when we could find them in the yard, but unfortunately most of the times it was too late.... anyway, this is a great site for when we are ready to do it again and this time we'll learn how to do it the right way.
