Aloha from Manoa's Roost

Wow, what a handsome guy Manoa is! Looking forward to following your thread on the breeding project...wishing you tons of luck. NN's are a favorite of mine anyway, can only imagine how striking the offspring of Manoa's would be.

Thank you! Maybe you'll own some that came though my project with him someday when you move to AZ. :D

Can’t wait to see how he gets on with the flock, He is Beautiful!!!!

So far thing's seemed better out there today than it was yesterday. The hen's acted like they didn't know what to think at first yesterday when they first seen that big boy!

“Ummmm, the food bringer has gone crazy? What IS that? That’s not a Rooster, it’s a Turkey! Must be... granted it’s neck looks awfully funny.”

They probably didn't know if he was there to try to eat them or not. :lau

Yesterday afternoon something strange happened. I have this young pullet that was trying to crawl under Manoa to lay her 5th egg (she's a new layer). Manoa looked a little bit confused. I never had one try to lay an egg under a rooster before.
