Hmm, that makes sense. Maybe get a brahma hen and try. I feel like that would combination look super good!
Maybe so, but I'm not into the feathered feet breed's.

If you don’t mind my asking, why the preference for the yellow legs?
It's the proposed breed standard to have yellow legs.
Just found your thread. He looks to be settling in nicely.
Awesome thread post !Manoa is a very beautiful Rooster. Looks like you have yourself a very fun project in the works, what interested you in these breeds? Most definitely, more pics.
Looks to me the only thing missing is a few Ducks running around !![]()
He's gorgeous! How big is he?This is the first time since I joined that I am starting a thread in this section. I received my Aloha boy today and have decided to name him Manoa after one of the Hawaiian names. I plan to help develop the Naked Neck version of the Aloha's. The Aloha breed was created and developed right here in Arizona, and is dual-purpose. Manoa is a big boy!

While I'm not ready yet, I'll be on the look out for an Aloha chicken for my granddaughter to have for 4 H.Manoa is still adjusting to the flock over here, but I think that he has already figured out that I am the bringer of the food and water, and that I'm not there to hurt them. He was enjoying a nice dirt bath this morning, and he makes a big place to do it in because he's so big. I found out that he hatched in April of this year, so he is 7 month's old now.
