Hello fellow Chicken peeps! I’m new to this site and fairly new to Chicken keeping. I’m hoping to gain valuable knowledge from here to help me with giving my little flock the best care possible.
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? Yes, I’m new to chicken keeping. I brought home 4 day old layer chicks Oct. 31, 2018.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 7
(3) What breeds do you have?
2 Ameraucana (1 hen & 1 Roo), 2 Brama, 1 silver Laced Wyandotte, 1 Barred Plymouth Rock.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? I live it all! They are my entertainment and pets!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Fishing, horses, succulents
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I have 2 children (1 girl & 1 boy), my husband and 2 dogs, a Mynah Bird, a sulcatta tortoise and some fish. We own and operate 2 Animal feed & supply stores on Kauai, Hi.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?I’m looking for knowledgeable help to give the best care to my girls, and Roo.
