Rooster and 4 hens, must go together and would prefer them to go to someone who plans to hatch eggs out of them.

The rooster is a fantastic flock rooster, he's good to hens and chicks. He's tolerant of other roosters as well. He has sometimes showed me some attitude but is generally good-natured and has never spurred or flogged anybody. He looks out for his flockmates and is a gentleman. Good at fertilizing eggs too, I get high fertility rates from him. The only reason I'm getting rid of him is because his brother has slightly better size and form, and I'd prefer to replace him with a less closely related rooster instead of having two near-identical brothers. Rooster likely carries blue egg genes, hatched summer 2024.

The hens are unrelated to him and hatched spring 2024. They're "old blood" Alohas from less-recent lines involved in the project. Mixing their genes with the genes of the rooster from newer bloodlines is a great start to a solid Aloha breeding flock. These hens lay light tan eggs, some lay speckled. Their feathers are not at their best right now, they're due for a molt.

All are used to free-ranging but tolerant of confinement, the rooster was broody-raised which I personally feel makes for a better rooster.

If you're interested in blue egger genes, I have 4 blue-egg chicks I could include, a little under a week old.

$160 obo for all 4 hens and the rooster. Located in Glendale area. Willing to meet halfway if you're far up to a certain point.
