Alright! Pic heavy; Chicks from Pre-K are now officially ours - ideas?

How can you feel disappointed at all that pure cuteness???!!!

Of course there are bound to be some roos in the bunch, but wait it out...and hope for a good pullet/roo ratio. Also, there are plenty of white leghorns who are loveable and sweet. Handle your chicks a lot and make them tame. And, if you have one in the bunch, the Black Giants are awesome---friendly, great layers, good citizens in a backyard flock! If the green-legged chicks are EEs, be delighted, because EEs are super friendly and excellent layers of pretty eggs (and not all EEs have muffs and/or beards)! I adore my own EEs! I think you should be psyched, not disappointed. Even if they are barnyard mixes, so what?! Barnyard mixes are often the sweetest chickens and also very productive and hardy due to hybrid vigor. Be happy, you have some very nice chicks!!

ENJOY!

I already have 3 EE'ers, 5 BR's, 5 turkens, 5 BA's, 6 RIR, 5 RS and 2 brahmas..

so I have lots o'eggs coming my way etc...

my EE'ers arent too friendly; they are skittish so far...but they are nice once you get them lol....

I'm not sure why they arent cuteness to me...

my first batch was lol...we have ONE roo here..and thats all we want/can have...personally...

so...wait it out and see...I'm very leary about having enough space too..

I understand....but honestly, they are super cute! Keep in mind that EEs are famous for simmering down and becoming friendlier at point of lay. Mine ALWAYS become calm and cuddly once they start laying. I wouldn't ever have a flock without EEs!

Enjoy, even if some are roos and cannot be kept later...for now, ENJOY! They are adorable!!
