Alternative to red light globe?

So it’s midnight. 1 one week old chick, 4 three day old guinea fowl chicks and four newborn chicks. Heat light globe has blown, second in a week. What have I done wrong? Worried it might of been too low in brooder and they keep knocking it? To keep them warm til tomorrow I’ve got a hot water bottle in there and also a small little heater on low near the corner of cage, plenty of air flow as using my galahs old cage.
Hoping I can try something different instead of reptile globe, any other standard globes I can use from my local hardware so I can stock up? Lamp is a e27 screw fitting

I'm not sure what's happening with your light, but you may want to make a heating pad cave. I've used them and found they work really well.
You do need to make sure your heating pad does not have auto shut off.

I use ceramic bulbs. No light at all. Plenty warm, reasonably durable. For my grow out pen (2 or more weeks+)

I use a heat plate with adjustable legs in my brooder box (Birth to 3 wks, size and feathering dependent).

Yeah we use the heating pad method..they really love it and got mad and loud when I took it out. Lol

Heating pad looks fantastic! Problem is I am in country Australia and dont think any of our stores in town will have ones I’ll make some calls though, thank you!
