Why don't they just pop them at the factory?

I always have trouble with the saran wrap. I can tair it off!
My wife found some that has a little thing you zip from one end to the other and it cuts it. WAHOO
No more alligator bites! no more crumpled plastic wrap.
(ever notice the only thing that crap stick to is itself?)
