I can definitely confirm that I do indeed have a girl in these three. Had to visit the vet today after there was an incident yesterday, and he confirmed she is definitely a girl. So very happy.

How familiar is your vet with chickens and how did they confirm gender? The black one on the left may be a pullet, but the one in the middle of the picture with the red patches looks to be a cockerel. I hope they recover quickly from the incident!

I’m so surprised to hear this is a pullet?? What breed? The colouring and comb size looked like a roo to me.

I have NO clue on breeds, her mum has similar colouring and shaped comb.

Since her two brothers have clearly got their wattles, and when I asked the vet if she was a boy or girl he asked her age, and said she's a girl. So. She is less boisterous than her brothers, but since we have an active cockerel they aren't as active. And all are wary of the two matriarchs.

I was prepared for her to be a roo, but I hoped she was a girl as she has some of her ate dad's blue/green colouring too.
