Well last night my husband and i took a good look at the two that were in question, and we believe one is definately a golden seabright based on the comb, and the one with the other one definately has a different comb, a single comb.
This one definately has the rose comb in my opinion
I have to say something as this is really irking me.....
Just because it DOES NOT have the REQUIRED COMB doesn't mean it is NOT that breed! It just means it is not show quality! This applies to every breed too.
They look very much like Golden Sebrights. The one with the rosecomb is a definite. The one with the single comb also does. If you want to be positive then wait until it is fully feathered out. Since you got them from TSC (which really came from a hatchery) then I am still going with Golden Sebright as, like stated before by someone else, hatcheries do not breed according to the SOP, but rather for production.
My Sebrights had quite a bit of black as chicks. Once they feather out then there should be more gold.
yes, that is true but the other breed that was mentioned has a single comb and supplies the stores
I do agree you should wait and see how is colors in and then you will know definitely..
eta- if you look at the pics you can see the sebright has the golden area surrounded by black on the second row of feathers on the wing, whereas the single comb does no have that, but the feather is more golden with a black tip...

Even so, I don't have a problem with it. Just saying what I thought.
But I do hate it when people assume a breed isn't a breed just because there is one fault.................. That and spelling really push my buttons....

lol. I got the spelling problem also, but add grammer to mine
yes, many breeds do have flaws, especially when the color is new or the stock comes from a hatchery. That's just like saying all chipmunk marked bird is an EE, and we all know how often that happens

I know what you mean. Especially when people ask if their Silkie is a Silkie and people say no just because it doesn't look like the big poofy ones
