A neighbor got this pullet from a friend, sooo sweet...first one out, first one to hop in my lap...I have heard several things, now at 11 weeks, a RIR or PR?

Although it is beautiful, the white around the legs is a little questioning. I think it's probably a PR.

The white is throwing me too, I'd say Production Red. It IS possible that it's a hatchery quality RIR, and that the juvenile molt will see those white feathers disappear. But it's more likely to be PR. Either way, you're going to get oodles of eggs!

I have 3 rir and she doesn't look like mine. She has a quite bit more blackish feathering hope this helps

Not a Rhode Island Red.

I would say it was just a "Red" chicken.

i think she is a production red. they are red chickens that are hybrids of laying breeds and are usually red with some black or white (or both) feathers on the legs, wings, hackles, or tail, while RIRs are usually just red. she is a very pretty bird, BTW!
