I have an americana that her eggs always look like this. Seems like it would be painful laying an egg with these bumps

From what I've seen on this site (and somebody correct me if I'm wrong) Those are calcium deposits. You can help by providing calcium into your birds diet by way of oyster shells or what I do. Crush up all your shells from the eggs that you eat and mix it back into your birds food. Note: I crush it into almost a fine powder so I don't get egg eaters.
