Am I outta my mind? Hubby is gonna shoot me..

When I started I had one coop and about a dozen birds, now after my new arrivals I'll have well over 100 and I have three coops.

Keeping poultry is quite addicting:lol:

I love that saying someone has on here..

Chickens are like potato chips, you cant have just one.

Ok, well, I'm glad to see I'm not the only one with the fever to add some more chickens!! I keep begging my hubby to let me order 6 more, but he says not right now. We need to wait until we move....hopefully soon--pending economy...and we can expand then.....

BUT I DON'T WANNA WAIT!!!

Totally understand the not wanting to wait.
My DH said to wait a bit for more since money is a tight.

I waited a bit. But the youngest needed ducks replaced. We now have 3 ducks, 5 bantams (plus a dozen packing peanuts), and 7 just out of the incubator. Oh, plus I just ordered one of our DD's some brahmas (along with a NN for me;) )

It's kinda like waiting.... waiting for DH to change his mind.

i started off telling my hubby we should get two hens, for the eggs. Now we have 30 and a passel of eggs in the bator, plus orders pending on live chicks. In the beginning he resisted, but as we all know "Resistance is Futile!".

Tell you your husband you needed to order extras, so you can pick the best ones, and that you will rehome the others. A couple years down the line, when you have dozens of chickens, he won't even notice.

I've been working on a cure for this addiction myself. I've decided the best medicine for this terrible addiction is to order more chicks. OOOps Me thinks I have it worse than i thought.

Don't worry. I ordered 30 chicks yesterday from Ideal and he doesn't know about it YET. They will be here Thurs or Fri. It's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission. Oh, I forgot to mention that we got 15 the other day from the feed store.

It's chick season, REJOICE, <goes off shaking boody>..............................

Thanks. I need to get rid of the extras before hubby gets home.

Or he really will shoot me! Hehe. I knew it was too perfect that Ideal said they would ship them this Monday instead of Tuesday. It normally takes two days to get here, so I thought GREAT!! My eggs are hatching that day as well and I can just slip these extra few I ordered under the hen at night and hubby wont know. He never comes out there to where my chickens are.

But no way can I hide the loud chirping coming from the bathroom right now.
