I have two lavender cochins, I think they are a pair..
Cockerel on left, pullet on right?
Here I went around them, cockerel on right, pullet on left?
Back around again...pullet on left, cockerel on right? Or do I have two girls? I posted on the cochin thread, but they are not too busy on there today. Thanks! Around 3 months old in these pics.

I know cochins are tricky but I really don't see anything cockerel-like about either of them.

(given their age)

They both look like girls to me, This is my pair at 6 weeks old, Truffle is on the iron Penn is sitting. They are now 10 months old

Thanks all, they are inseparable..do they look to be around the 7 month old age here?

Wow suz...six weeks? There's a roo in there for sure! Pretty!

He turned into a very handsome roo they both look like walking feather dusters and are very sweet

Both look like pullets. I don't know much about Cochins, but they look to be more like 5 months instead of 7. But maybe Cochins mature differently than the breeds I'm familiar with.

They look like 2 girls to me... my cochins grew in their combs fairly early. Made me wonder a long time, too, but they are girls.
