Am I the only dog owner that has to do this?

If my husband goes to the doctor or to a meeting for work at a different location, he has to have the seat of his pants sniffed, to check out where he's been sitting! Plus the scent of all the people that were sitting in that chair before him, of course. That's a lot of sniffing!

Lol I work at the local animal clinic, so I met and get to know (in a rather rude way sometimes lol) other dogs, cats, etc all the time. I also have to clean up after these animals all day long, not to mention cleaning them themselves and cleaning things (some pretty nasty stuff) off of me lol. So when I get home it is like I am one big smell of a whole butch of other animals, and my Evie and Odie are all over me from head to toe until they are sure they have figured out every animal that I meet that day at work

Oh my gosh, the sheriff's office has one K9. Let DH come home smelling like that dog and Jax gets all pissy and pouts.

Our dogs investigate every bag when we come home from shopping. Doesn't matter if it's grocery shopping, clothes shopping, etc., they stick they head in every bag!

Yes, every piece of mail, every grocery bag, every box, every shoe, pant leg, and jacket. They need to check and see if anything is for them. Yesterday we went to Petsmart AND the pound, and brought home a cat. Lot's and lot's of sniffing! Though Ricca stopped as soon as she got to the bag of biscuits. Then she remembered there's a cat around somewhere.

I was so mean, I tossed the dogs outside to let the cat wonder his new digs. The sniffing fest that ensured after I put the cat in his room was insane. Every spot he checked, they checked. Ricca was even snorting scent as deep as she could and making a snuffling noise.

Ricca does everything with her nose. Logan... not so much, but he is king of goosing humans. I have to tell visitors to stand against the wall or else.
