I'm getting 11 eggs per day now. And they are laying in the coop!

racuda where are you located? im in NC too, if your close enough would you sell hatching eggs? the woman i bought mine from has someone picking up her guineas today so she wont be having anymore, so if mine continue to be stingey then im going to be impatient and want to buy more!! lol

I started out with 20 6 years ago,i had hundreds the next year.

Just let me know when you are ready to find nest if they free range,i have gotten very good at finding them.

so after all my complaining and impatience, and after i ran out and bought 16 eggs and set them LASTNIGHT, TODAY i got my first guinea egg!!! i built them a new nest box and put it in there, and later on went to lock up my chickens and looked over and there was an egg in the middle of the run! im so excited!!! i hope the other girl starts too and they use thier nest!!

LOL congrats on the egg find! My Guineas usually just scratch all the bedding out of nesting boxes (dang birds!). I've had better luck getting my Hens to lay inside with just a simple piece of plywood secured to the wall at an angle, lean-to style and a dog crate with the door taken off, stuffed with straw.

FINALLY! Got my first egg from the guineas yesterday. And,........it was in the nest box

yayyy congrats!! your lucky they went in the box!!! i hear thats pretty rare. i made mine a new box because i thought they would like somewhere to hide but nope, they continue to lay in the run!

oh well im just glad to have eggs!
