Am I the only one that hates halloween?

LOL that would take ALOT of Charmin to do at my place. Have at it. It'ss cost ya about $150 in TP.

No,No,No,.....you swipe the TP from the local gas station first!

In that case, you'd still be out of luck if Debiraymond has all that many shrubberies. Our local gas station hotspot has maybe 2 4-packs on the shelf, and it's the cheap small rolls.

You are right Tala!!!! I have 2.5 acres and I live in the Mojave desert. Picture mustard plants, Joshua trees and verbena ALL OVER THE PROPERTY. Come on youngster, come try it. You will need a nap halfway through.

We avoid strangers and just go to people we know. It helps that we live in a pretty big subdivision though. Some years we'll go Trunk-or-Treating at our church instead.

You don't like Christmas?

Not really. I don't like the way society makes people feel obligated to buy things for each other. (Plus, I worked at Wal-Mart for 6 years too.) I don't mind getting a second round of holiday food though! mmmmmmmmmmmm!

We don't go all out for Halloween. My kids have a little party for school in the gym, they dress up ( home made costumes, I don't like wasting my money) I make something simple for the cake walk. And we do little things at home, because for them it's fun and exciting! We don't go house to house.. I don't really have a lot of interest in Haloween myself. I do the little I do for my three little ones!

For me Christmas is not about the gifts we give, but the Gift we were given. I also love cooking the big meal and having family here and the decorations and the Grinch movie. We have 3 year old grandson, and the way his face lights up at the smallest thing is just precious.

This year I bought two great big bags of mixed candy... no chocolates!... and put it in a big bucket on the front porch with a note that said, "Please take a few but leave some for others" so that my DH and I could both walk with our DD. I was shocked to find there was still candy left when we got back home... I thought for sure that some teen would take it all (the reason I didn't put chocolates out.

) Pretty well behaved kids in the 'hood tonight.

That has actually worked for me in the past too! Amazing!!! I did have one incident where I told a return teen who was clearly grazing on the side of adulthood NO and he snatched the whole bowl outta my hands. Let's just say there were enough father's in the area to return him to me by the scruff of his neck and stuck around long enough to call his parents. They also made him give me his entire night's collection.

My next door neighbors are having an outside "get drunk fest". All I can hear is the thumping of their loud music and their obnoxious drunk screams.
