Thanks for the idea! Everyone gets mad at me because I always say I just want wool socks and mugs for Christmas (I am always cold and I practically need an IV for tea). My mom complained that I've asked for wool socks and mugs since I was 13, but I mean you can't go wrong with socks and a mug? Anyways next year I'm going to tell them that they can all go in on a chicken scalder because this is bloody brilliant, again thanks for the idea!

Says it takes ~1 hour to heat up, fine by me. The ability to completely ignore it is the part I'm most interested in.

As you get older its hard to buy people gifts unless they have hobbies. I asked for merino wool and soap making supplies. My sister in law is an avid crafter but she just asked for a gift card to michaels so anytime you can ask for something you can use youre not weird.

A friend gave me a bunch of mealworms to boost my colony for my birthday! I started with three beetles, so you can imagine that it's slow. How thoughtful, it's just what I needed! She's only had chickens for a couple years, yet she is in just the right frame of mind!

Have you tried Moyers out of PA? That is my personal favorite place.

They are really nice, easy-to-raise birds. I've hatched their eggs out the last two years. In fact, I've got a dozen Moyer broiler eggs in my incubator (a gift from a few Christmas's ago) as I type.
