Amateur candling at day 6, pic” alive? Update

They will smell bad and or wheep from there pores when there getting ready to explode is what I have heard

I had quite a few that looked clear on day 6--then on day 8 many of those had veining and embryos. . .so there may still be some hope.

ChicksR4Me....did you check out the link? I know they are duck eggs but they were on day 6 as well. So far my Ducks seem to be around the same development timing as a chicken egg.

Dont toss them just yet they may be developing slowly, Whats your temps been?

I just tossed over a dozen eggs that looked like that on day 14. No veins, nothing. Just a shadowy yolk. They looked that way on day 3 and day 7, no evidence of development but I let them go just in case. If, by day 6, you don't have signs of veining in shells as easy to see through as that, double, triple, even quadruple check your temp. In my case, I had other eggs that were developing perfectly so I knew it wasn't a bator problem.
