Amazing....13 hour power outage

That's been my experience as well. We're located near Savannah, Ga. One time about 15 years ago, I distinctly remember a hurricane bearing down on our city, and we had 6 Sportmans full of eggs about a few weeks in. Me and my father spent all night taking the eggs out, transporting them and 6 incubators to our family farm 50 miles away, where we had generator power. It was about 12 hours of so the eggs were outside of the incubators. Bottom line, the hatch rate was the same, about 75% or so. I guess if you think about it, in nature, the mama bird doesn't stay on the eggs 24/7

Very interesting.....Its proven that people do not need to stress so much over hatching eggs...Its not the Temp so much as getting the humidity right....?...I dont know?...I have success and things screw up now and again?....

I notice the eggs in question cooled just prior to hatching. Does anyone have experience to share , if the same occurred much earlier, say between 7th and 14th day , cold for abt 12hrs and still have good hatch?

That was our biggest worry.. Power loss while incubating. Lock down especially. After a couple power outage's we started using a battery back up designed for computers and such.
When the back up is beeping at 3am, I have complete peace of mind.
Glad good fortune came your way!
