That's been my experience as well. We're located near Savannah, Ga. One time about 15 years ago, I distinctly remember a hurricane bearing down on our city, and we had 6 Sportmans full of eggs about a few weeks in. Me and my father spent all night taking the eggs out, transporting them and 6 incubators to our family farm 50 miles away, where we had generator power. It was about 12 hours of so the eggs were outside of the incubators. Bottom line, the hatch rate was the same, about 75% or so. I guess if you think about it, in nature, the mama bird doesn't stay on the eggs 24/7
