After 2 power outages ('bator down to 70degrees! on the first one), wildly shifting temps in my incubator and the Miss Prissy hatcher I made, trying 4 different thermometers, opening the hatcher a hundred times in the last 3 days trying to tame the temperature swings... ALL 8 of the eggs hatched!
I was flabergasted. I was sure I had killed all of them. I would have been happy if only a couple had survived, but all 8 was just awesome! The trouble is, I want to keep them all. I promised them to the local feed store to sell. Maybe I'll keep just one.
I hope I have the same luck with the Delaware eggs I just got from Seriousbill. *crosses fingers*
