Ameracauna (pure) x Welsummer

Hey there!! Does anyone have an Ameracauna (my Roo is a Blue) and bred it with a Welsummer? I'm wondering if the chicks will have beards and muffs. Is that automatic or will some have it and some not? I'd love to see pics if y'all have this mix, please.

In my experience, some have beards and others don't. I've never had this particular cross, but my Americauna crosses normally have a beard. Sometimes there are 1 or 2 chicks that don't have beards, but mine normally have beards.

Thank you for your response. I'll just be hopeful lol! Since you have experience with Ameraucana babies, could you tell me round about when those beards start to fill out? We have 4 pure Ameraucana chicks right now, 1 month old, and no fluff around the face yet.

I can normally tell if they have a beard when they are chicks, but there are some that take 8-12 weeks to have their beards grow in.

I have a ton of 8 week Ameraucana cross of various breeds just now developing beards. Seems to be a dominant gene
